Regimental Histories - Units at Port Hudson

Links to Histories on Google Books

The following links are to books which are fully viewable in their entirety on the Google Books site. They are also downloadable.  These books all contain good accounts of the participation of the regiments during the siege.  The amount of detail and quality of the information varies from book to book, but all contain valuable and enlightning personal reflections of participants in the siege.  Most contain rosters of the regiment, although the rosters are generally based on a certain timeframe (often when regiment was formed), and do not necessarily provide an accurate list of soldiers who were present at Port Hudson.  Some give good lists of regimental casualties.
